A project almost seven years in the making, our 2021-2022 Renovation marks another chapter in UClub history. The goal of our renovation is to reimagine the UClub in contemporary Boston, while incorporating Club history & heritage, and holding true to our warm, inviting atmosphere. Our plans and improvements will elevate member experience, continuing our legacy as Boston's premier social and athletic Club.

Roof Deck

Our roofdeck will be utilized as a new open-air social and event venue with bar and light food service.
Fitness

Level 4

We will be expanding fitness into a brand new, state-of-the-art 8,000+ square foot Fitness facility including cardio, strength training, a group exercise studio, cross-training areas and stretching areas. The new facility will feature floor to ceiling windows with views of Copley Square, letting in abundant natural light. Lower Level 2 will feature a dedicated Spin/Cycling studio.

Level 4

The Squash department will see a new Pro-Shop and merchandise displays, with expanded viewing of Doubles & Singles Courts on an elevated catwalk above the courts.

Business Friendly Improvements & Increased Social Spaces

The fourth floor lounge will feature space for business use, offering phone booths for quiet calls and a room for private meetings.

The fourth floor will also feature a new member "Living Room" space, complete with a catering kitchen for Food & Beverage service. An athletic lounge will be added to level three with a stretching space and after-sport refreshments.

Improved Family & Junior Spaces
The renovations will include a Junior Lounge on level three for UClub Juniors who have aged out of babysitting; a space for hanging out and completing homework.

Moving to LL2, our new babysitting room will be 150% larger than the old, allowing more space for children to play and a wider variety of activities.
Dining, Bar & Tap Room

Level 1, Main Floor

The Dining Room will see updated finishes and an overall improved ambiance. The Tap Room & Bar will be enlarged, providing more seating and a larger bar, with a cohesive design aesthetic shared throughout Tap & SB to allow a more seamless connection of the spaces.

Lower Level 1

Our Aquatics center will see the addition of Men's & Women's Locker Rooms, with separate family changing rooms. The pool deck will gain improved safety, new merchandise display and better atmospheric control. The new reception area will offer a better visual connection to the pool.
